Europe responds to U.S. allegations in the banana trade war.
"At last our decade-long policy of banana lies and banana stonewalling has culminated in a roaring banana success. The impatient United States lost hope in posturing and WTO litigation and rashly resorted to direct action, a flagrant violation of international norms. This will not stand!"
