These were run on the same laptop that I used in the contest in 2010, which as I recall is slower than the contest virtual machines were. Bots which need the time may play weaker in my tests than they did in the contest. There are some.

Some of the opponent names here do not match the correct names on the official site. Sorry about that. These are the names I have them stashed under on my laptop.

against old versions of itself

200 games each against earlier versions on random maps. As always, this is not good for judging strength against other opponents. In games against 2.4, 3.1 commonly comes out of the opening slightly behind due to its extra caution but makes it up by exploiting reckless mistakes and attacking more accurately.

19-opponent tournament

300 games each against 19 opponents on random maps, 5700 games total. Oddshrimp seems to have landed on a shelf where it’s close to the strength of bots ranked from 13 to 31, so its contest ranking is hard to pin down. The contest elo range from 3371 (Manwe rank 31) to 3463 (davidjliu rank 13) is only 92 points, corresponding to an expected win rate of 63% for davidjliu over Manwe, so it’s hard to find your position in that range without a full set of opponents. The FIDE elo performance rating comes out as 3413, corresponding to rank 22-23. I’m calling the rank 20-25, and maybe that’s not wide enough a range.
