How many times has it been this year? Every time your credit card number is stolen, the intermediary (they’re not the victim, you are) explains that they’re investigating how the baddies penetrated a “sophisticated, multi-layered security system”. Well, “sophisticated” means computerized, and “multi-layered” means that it both locks the door and leaves the radio on when it’s away. It says nothing about whether the window is wide open.
