18 May 1998 - ABL: don’t tread on me

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

“Peace through light” is a wimpy motto. I’d like to propose a manly motto, a meaty motto, a motto that dares to express the mighty military objectives of the Airborne Laser program. Try this on for size:

“Don’t even think of treading on me, ’cause not only will you fall on your face and look silly, but our side will get tons of good press for our superior technology, so there.”

clue:

OK, maybe it could be edited down a tad. “Don’t tread on me” is a slogan from the American Revolution.

take oh take this clue away
