Just as April is the cruelest month, photography is the easiest art. Billions of photos are added yearly to the heap of broken images by people whose qualification is that they know how to push a button. This poses a dilemma for the community of art critics. Every snapshot is a unique, individual, deep-rooted work of art that sings out to be uniquely, individually sneered at for the wrack that it is. And there just plain aren’t enough critics to dig the graves.
