I’m optimistic about humanity’s future. Follow my reasoning:

1. Historic landmarks are permanent.
2. History keeps on happening. Therefore,
3. Eventually the Earth will be crammed solid with stuff we aren’t allowed to change. When that happens,
4. We’ll get fed up and leave.
