New Zealand is smarter than the United Nations, because the more intelligent minds there are in a group, the less intelligently the group can act. Similarly, though every professional has a personality, organizations grow ever blander with professionalization.

That is why the war in Afghanistan must be halted. If unstable regions are stabilized, if dictators fall and oppression is ended, if the globe slowly turns to civilization, then we lose the grounds for ever-recurring revolution, and in the end, we will all suffocate in cotton candy.
