21 March 2003 - incarnation of evil

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Hi, I’m the incarnation of evil—no, no, my name is not important. It’s delightful how all the religions have it wrong, and I’ve never been one to mess up a bad thing. I’m here today to appeal to all the wrong-minded people of the world to take advantage of the chaos in Iraq. Sadly, one of the most enjoyable governments on Earth is soon to perish, but look on the dark side—the forces of good can never equal our own in purity and fervor, for woven into the very fabric of good are the threads of greed and fear that we can grasp for their unraveling. Quickly, my minions, seize the chance to destroy, and patiently, my fellow activists, drive deeper the wedge of moral ambiguity until at last we split asunder the limestone fragments of the rule of law, not only between nations but, at the end, within them as well. The righteous, as well I know, fall farthest, and every soul at Guantanamo, prisoner or guard, is by our side. For evil!
