Imagine All The Interviews They Don’t Print

reporter: Can you describe your work for us? What’s it like to be an unsung hero of science?
random lab worker: I am a boy on the seashore, diverting myself in finding a prettier shell than ordinary, while all untapped before me lies the great ocean of grant money.
reporter: Er, and how is your research coming along?
lab worker: If I have seen less, it is by hiding in the shoes of giants.
reporter: OK, can you tell me what field you work in?
lab worker: Ha, the anvil is on the other foot now! It’s too technical for you to understand!
