America and Britain have grown apart and can never grasp each other again. For example, in the U.S., Valentine’s Day is a turn-on having no connection at all with the boob tube. Americans struggle to bridge the Pond by taking back “grey” for “gray”, but secretly we believe that rehabilitation only works for people who were habile in the first place.
