U.S. Satellite Shoot-Down Plan
If you’re smart, sometimes you think of enough reasons to
do something silly that you convince yourself.
clue:
The official explanation is that the shootdown of the
falling satellite is for the safety of people on the ground.
I haven’t found a single serious analyst who believes it. But
what is the real reason: To destroy secret technology on the
satellite, to send a diplomatic message, or to make an
operational test of a capability that it has not been
politically feasible to test until now? I’m guessing it’s
a combination.
