Which do you believe?

A. Politics is hard. The legislature should raise its own pay.
B. Politicians are lazy. Why should states impose taxes that they are able to collect when they can convince Congress to mandate that businesses collect tax for every jurisdiction?

Referring to the proposal that U.S. online businesses collect sales tax for every U.S. jurisdiction—not easy. It’s a good way to promote international trade, though.
