< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Fully Predictable Consequences

I got a wish, so I wished for eternal life. It was pretty fun until the sun got too hot and the water all evaporated. Ever since the sun turned into a red giant it’s been too bright to see anything, but I can’t move any more so I think it has made it to white dwarf stage. I should have floated to the top. I hope I’m on my back so that I can see again when it cools off in another few billion years.

clue:

I assume that the Earth is swallowed. Very roughly:
until water boils off - 1,000,000,000 years
until red giant - 4,000,000,000 years in the desert
until white dwarf - 1,000,000,000 years drifting around in a star

Dante didn’t think of this one.

give me a clue so sweet and true
