31 January 2014 - plagiarism scandals

Have you been following the thesis scandals in Germany? Various bigwigs have had their doctorates revoked for plagiarism. It reminds me of when I lived in a grad student dorm. In the basement was a microwave. There was a budget to replace the microwave frequently, because it was never long before someone tried to, say, microwave a can of soup without opening it. I figure Germany is getting what they deserve for letting a bunch of PhDs run their country.
