In the old days, when a small child asked “Why does the wind blow?” the culture provided a cozy blanket answer, such as “Blohard the Wind Spirit is feeling playful.” Today, under the icy reign of science, parents often miniskirt the issue with a scant answer like “Because entropy increases” or “I don’t know.” The cultural fabric has lost its weft and started to warp, or in other words, science, by existing, increases the crime rate.
