U.S. veep Mike Pence wants to be the next John F. Kennedy. He called for a political moonshot by 2024, to meet the presidential election after next. “Failure is not an option,” he declared, and to ensure that there is no failure, we will accept extra risk, meaning a risk of failing. He did not mention whether he will ensure success by accepting the personal risk of assassination.
