The Korean War was a war of keeping things from getting worse. The U.S. won because it rescued an ally while avoiding a direct superpower conflict. China won because it maintained its buffer state. The two Koreas both lost because their cities were devastated. The moral of the war is, don’t fight for territory, fight to keep your balance.
