If this hurricane goes to Texas, where Mr. President Bush is from, and the next one goes to Washington, where he lives now, will he admit that global warming is real? Maybe the administration would say, “There’s global warming on Mars, and they don’t have hurricanes.” But no, that would involve admitting a scientific fact, in violation of the central Bush policy: If you can’t beat ’em, they ain’t there. Or is this the secret reason behind NASA’s Mars mission?
