Members of the ultracult of finance are different from you and me; they gossip faster. If governments take emergency actions merely because there is an emergency, they give the impression that there is an emergency, which makes it worse. The noise of the boisterous oyster boys, earning their pearls, changes to splashing as they throw everything back in.

And yet it would all be fine if only there were more contrarians to catch what falls.
