13 March 2017 - time present

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Years and days are independent, but it’s easier to count them on the same calendar. The sun rises at different times in different places. Let’s make that easier too, with time zones so different places have different times of day at the same time. Oh, but night and day also vary with time of year, we’d better make that easier with daylight saving time. If we keep going, pretty soon time will be so easy that we will throw up our hands.

clue:

Years, days, and seconds have no connection. Count them separately. Do we love complexity so much that we can’t grasp simplicity?

give me a clue so sweet and true
